Royal Huisman has announced the successful delivery of its milestone Project 406, the bespoke motor yacht, Special One. The superyacht will embark on her maiden voyage, from the shipyard in the Netherlands.
Special One is a 52-metre (171-foot) Alustar® aluminium motor yacht, featuring six decks designed to offer the highest standards of luxury and comfort. The yacht integrates advanced technology and performance capabilities, proven by her ability to exceed 30 knots during recent extensive trials on the North Sea. Special One is the world’s largest true sportfish yacht and was designed to meet the specific brief of her experienced owner, who has a deep passion for sportfishing.
The naval architecture, exterior, and interior design of Special One are the work of Vripack Yacht Design Studio. Her distinctive design features a long bow, high bulwarks that sweep into a clear sheer line, and a low, uncluttered cockpit aft. The yacht is equipped with a high tower, providing outstanding views and a downward angle on the water, essential for specialised fishing.
Jan Timmerman, CEO of Royal Huisman, commented “The delivery of Project 406 is a testament to our commitment to delivering unique and bespoke superyachts. The individual aspirations and challenges of our motor yacht milestone projects were well outside the comfort zone of other yards. This motoryacht project showcases our ability to create custom solutions that perfectly align with our client’s vision. We are excited to see Special One embark on her journey and provide unforgettable experiences to her owner: the ultimate expression of personal freedom.”
Special One will be presented by Royal Huisman at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024.
