Bitfinex, a popular cryptocurrency exchange, is not just buying Bitcoin, but also investing in Bitcoin technology. According to Bitfinex CTO Paolo Ardoino, the company holds Bitcoin on its balance sheet and supports the Bitcoin L2 network, Lightning Network and liquidity network, and is developing the RGB protocol. In the meantime, Tether, the leading stablecoin issuer and Bitfinex’s twin company, is now the 11th largest Bitcoin holder in the world, a testament to the growing interest in cryptocurrencies.
