To enhance its efforts in data aggregation, the leading crypto aggregator, CoinGecko, acquired the NFT data startup Zash as its first-ever acquisition.
Since being established in 2021 at the European startup accelerator, ‘Entrepreneur First’, Zash has switched from developing a social investing app to concentrating on NFT data, owing to being driven by the need for more accurate and reliable blockchain-based information — like CoinGecko.
CoinGecko believes that NFTs will continue opening international opportunities and that, by acquiring Zash, the platform can provide users with valuable data regarding these digital collectibles in a seamless, unified offering.

CoinGecko’s Integration and Plans
Looking ahead, CoinGecko has announced plans to integrate Zash’s NFT data into its platform by the second quarter of next year. Then, the company is set to offer a more sophisticated and comprehensive suite of services, including indexed NFT data, detailed information on NFT metadata and historical trades, tools for detecting wash trading, and insights into NFT lending.
One stand-out feature notably attracting Zash to CoinGecko includes the startup’s expansive NFT information across 87 marketplaces on numerous blockchains, including Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, and Bitcoin Ordinals.
Zash’s cutting-edge data offerings have the potential to position CoinGecko at the forefront of NFT market intelligence, benefitting both novice traders and professional investors alike. The waitlist of this new product, however, will soon present the community’s eagerness to check out CoinGecko’s enhanced NFT-centric capabilities.
