Cool Cats Expands Beyond Digital Collectibles

The first chapter is available for free on Comic DAYS and Yanmaga, with new chapters to be released monthly and a physical edition to be available later this year in over 2,500 bookstores and more than 70 online stores across Japan.

“We are incredibly excited to bring the Cool Cats world to life with this manga series,” said Colin Egan (Clon), Founder of Cool Cats. “Partnering with the talented Yuuma Natsuna and the esteemed team at Kodansha has created something truly special, and we can’t wait for fans to explore Sapphire Town and join the adventure with Blue Cat and friends.”

The manga, based on an original story by Clon and illustrated by Yuuma Natsuna, takes place in Sapphire Town at a cafe called Milk Chug. It follows Blue Cat, an aspiring barista, along with friends Chugs, Joe, and Ardie, as they navigate various interactions with their customers, including the character Kira.

“It has been incredibly fulfilling to see the Cool Cats story come to life in an authentic way at the heart of anime and manga culture,” added David Taing (DT), CEO of San FranTokyo. “We are thrilled for Natsuna-sensei and the Cool Cats team, and look forward to introducing even more international IP to Japan.”
