Copper is set to launch a brokerage service for digital securities in Abu Dhabi early next year through its new entity, Copper Securities. The company is collaborating with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in Abu Dhabi to secure the necessary approvals by early 2024. Copper’s acquisition of Securrency Capital, an Abu Dhabi-based division of the Securrency tokenization platform, facilitated this move. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is attracting a growing number of crypto businesses due to its greater regulatory clarity for digital assets compared to other jurisdictions. Copper CEO Dmitry Tokarev highlighted that Abu Dhabi is more institutional and focused on asset management, making it an ideal location for Copper’s services.
