Seven technology startups are poised to gain expanded financing avenues through a joint effort between the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and Oraseya Capital, which serves as the investment division of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority.

Founders from the seven ventures, spanning various segments of the digital economy, were convened by the Chamber alongside the Oraseya Capital investment team and its Sandbox Investment Programme.

In pursuit of securing investment funding, the founders showcased their business models, solutions, and strategies for growth and expansion. Immediate feedback was also given to the participating startups regarding the prerequisites for later phases of the evaluation and potential investment process. As a result of the session, several companies advanced to the subsequent stage of Oraseya Capital’s evaluation process, with the possibility of gaining from the Sandbox Investment Programme to speed up their growth.

Participating Companies

The companies taking part comprised Arakan, a UAE-based technology platform offering digital solutions that assist businesses with compliance, corporate requirements, and related operational processes; Duno, an independent operational intelligence platform created to help lenders assess and comprehend Small and Medium-sized Enterprises; and YOUNEA, an AI platform allowing businesses to launch branded AI agents across channels such as voice, chat, and WhatsApp.

Additionally included were Riayatech, a UAE HealthTech company crafting digital solutions aimed at enhancing healthcare operations and the patient journey; Avelin, a sovereign AI platform delivering frontier-class AI via cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped deployment; SENSI, a fragrance-technology startup creating digital scent and sensory technology solutions under its Internet of Fragrances concept; and Cogniver, an AI-native enterprise platform employing autonomous AI agents to support and automate organisational workflows and business processes.

Executive Perspectives

Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, stated that the organisation is concentrated on delivering practical and effective routes that let technology startups link directly with prospective investors and obtain capital and expertise capable of backing their growth and expansion. He further mentioned that the Chamber is dedicated to fostering the expansion of Dubai’s digital economy ecosystem and reinforcing its standing as a worldwide centre for innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment throughout all digital economy sectors.

Julien Plouzeau, Senior Partner at Oraseya Capital, remarked that startup funding yields a stronger effect when paired with expertise, guidance, and entry to an investment ecosystem that fosters business growth. He observed that the partnership with Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy demonstrates a dedication to spotting promising technology firms and empowering them to refine their business models, hasten their growth, and scale from Dubai, adding to the competitiveness of the emirate’s entrepreneurship and digital economy ecosystem.

Investment Details

Oraseya Capital oversees an AED500 million ($136.15 million) investment fund targeting technology startups, spanning from the pre-seed stage to Series B. Via its Sandbox Investment Programme, the firm offers founders potential investment opportunities between AED550,000 and roughly AED11 million, together with mentorship and guidance, investment-readiness support, and access to a broader startup ecosystem.
