Gnosis Pay, a leading decentralized payment infrastructure that facilitates the connectivity of TradFi and DeFi, has announced a partnership with Visa, a global payments giant. The partnership introduces a self-custodial Visa Debit Card that is connected to a Safe smart account.
This will provide the option for crypto players to utilize an on-chain spending account to make payments at merchants that accept Visa. This will help pave the way for people to buy from over 130 million outlets, covering more than two hundred countries.
Visa has no hesitance in connecting with the crypto space, in spite of the fact that it is infested with risks and threats at all times and from everywhere. It was towards the end of 2022, when Visa divulged its intention of introducing automatic payments made from self-custodial wallets. It was StarkNet, which was the chosen one for the execution. The organization utilized Solana for merchant settlements in USDC last year.
The initial entrants for the Gnosis Pay card will be entering a white list to obtain an OG NFT. This will enable them to receive special rewards as well as IRL exposure. They will benefit from zero fees in terms of transactions, foreign exchange, and off-ramp.
