Jeremy Clarkson is downsizing his car collection, with the famed TV host of ‘Top Gear’ and ‘The Grand Tour’ getting rid of three vehicles he drove as a part of the latter show.
Listed by Iconic Auctioneers and set to go under the hammer at the 2026 NEC Classic Motor Show in the UK in November, Clarkson’s cars are all being offered with no reserve.
According to the auction house, the three cars are being sold for reasons which will “become clear in the forthcoming season of ‘Clarkson’s Farm’”, the former ‘Top Gear’ and ‘The Grand Tour’ host’s latest successful venture.
Here are the three cars heading to auction, with no estimates of value offered by the company.
1982 Lancia Montecarlo Spider
The car which finished it all; the Montecarlo was used by Clarkson in the final film of ‘The Grand Tour’, titled ‘One for the Road’.
Billed as the final film featuring Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – bringing an end to their 21-year on-screen partnership – the Lancia was chosen by Clarkson to drive through Africa as it linked back to the Beta coupe he used in the ‘Top Gear Botswana Special’ in 2007.
Modified with Lancia Delta Integrale wheels, headlights and grille as well as Ferrari 308 tail lights and quad tailpipes, the Montecarlo was also fitted with cloth seats and a racing-style steering wheel, which survived the trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana.
The Montecarlo featured heavily throughout the trio’s final film, including in the last scenes where the three drive off the Makgadikgadi Pan, bringing an end to ‘The Grand Tour’ with them as hosts.
1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V
From one of the most emotionally linked vehicles to one which was a necessity, the Continental Mark V is from one of the lesser known episodes, aired in 2021.
‘The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown’ was the first feature-length special to feature in the UK, given COVID travel restrictions which prevented the hosts and crew from international filming.
Driving three American luxury cars through Scotland, the Lincoln Continental was Clarkson’s choice, and provided comedic relief when he struggled to drive through Edinburgh.
Clarkson had the car fitted with a nitrous system for more power – something which didn’t work – and it’s still equipped today.
1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6
Last but not least is one car Clarkson always said he loved the most, the Alfa Romeo GTV6.
Featured in the Series Three episode ‘Well Aged Scotch’, the GTV6 was one of three Italian coupes driven throughout Scotland by the trip.
Throughout the film, they drove the famed ‘North Coast 500’ loop, while Clarkson had to deal with a bunch of Alfaholics at his impromptu birthday party, much to his chagrin.
According to the listing, the GTV6 has recorded just 28,315 miles on its odometer at the time of being listed, making it not only a car with connections to a star, but also one which can genuinely be seen as one of the best examples in its own right.
All three cars will go under the hammer in mid November 2026.
