Motor yacht AUSTRALIA ran aground onto a reef near marina in Sentosa island, Singapore, at around 1625 LT Oct 16, after the yacht left marina. Yacht hull was breached with ensuing water ingress, she developed a portside list. She was taken off reef 6 hours later and anchored at anchorage east of Sentosa. As of morning Oct 17, understood salvage is ongoing, with tug at her side.
Motor yacht AUSTRALIA, IMO 1010959, GT 878, built 2012, flag Malta, 12 guests, 12 crew, owner Clive Palmer Australia, manager SEAWOOD YACHTS, UK.
