Pudgy Penguins has continued its unstoppable march through the retail sector with an incredible partnership with Walmart. As a result, Pudgy fans can now purchase physical merchandise in 2000 stores across the USA, while holders of the NFTs featured in the designs will receive a share in the profits.
The latest move marks an extension to its Amazon initiative where the savvy penguins launched a selection of toys through the vendor. This resulted in a surge in popularity for the marginally plump cartoon characters and set them on the way for a successful 2023. Now however, as the Pudgy Penguins juggernaut continues to accelerate, its vinyl models and soft plushie dolls now find themselves on the shelves of the biggest retailer in the USA!
In a short video, company CEO Luca Netz, revealed that each penguin involved in the initiative has licensed its intellectual property from the pool of original NFTs. Therefore, owners of the corresponding tokens will reap the rewards every time its likeness is sold. In addition, Luca referred to the Walmart arrangement as the conclusion of Season 1 of Pudgy toys, adding that Season 2 will swiftly follow!

Pudgy NFTs Soar in Defiance of the Bear Market
In the immediate aftermath of the announcement, the Pudgy Penguins NFT floor price soared by approximately 10%. This effectively capped off a bear-market defying period for the Pudgy Penguins that has seen it overtake fellow NFT superstars, DeGods and Azuki.
