Superdao has announced that it will be shutting down. The platform launched in 2021 and supported over 2000 DAO launches, but most of these projects had a short lifespan, rendering the underlying platform unsustainable as a business. In 2022, Superdao changed direction to build growth and analytics tools for already launched and operating Web3 projects, but ultimately it became clear that specialized tools for crypto companies are unlikely to produce venture-scale outcomes. The team and remaining funds will be returned to investors, while some elements of Superdao’s work will be published as open source.
