A boy has been arrested after multiple alleged offences, including stealing luxury cars and breaking into homes across Brisbane.

Queensland police said they arrested a 17-year-old boy they believe was involved in multiple crimes across the city since February 14.

Police alleged that in the early hours of Friday morning, the boy entered a Newport home and stole a Lexus.

The boy was also allegedly involved in the theft of a Ford Ranger and an Audi from Carina Heights at 11.45pm on Saturday, as well as other property offences committed in Camp Hill and Mount Gravatt early on Monday.

Following a police investigation, the boy was found at a Chermside unit on Tuesday.

He was charged with 18 offences.

He was denied bail and is expected to appear at Brisbane Children’s Court on Tuesday.

Police said they are looking into links between these offences and similar offences reported in the Hawthorn and Ascot areas from the weekend.

Investigations are ongoing.
