A home in the Catalina Foothills has set a sales record in the Tucson area.
The selling price: $8.6 million.
The home northeast of North Campbell Avenue and East Skyline Drive is within the gated community of The Canyons.
Built in 2024, the home in the 3500 block of East Secret Canyon Place is 8,292 square feet.
It sits on five acres with five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms and has its own cave.
The previous record for a home sale in the Tucson area was $8.4 million. That was set in April 2024.
“This is an extraordinary property, and the sale reflects the level of luxury, architecture and privacy that Tucson is increasingly recognized for,” said Anthony Schaefer, the listing agent with Long Realty. “The setting in The Canyons, the acreage, the views and the quality of the home made this a truly exceptional offering. It was a privilege to represent a property of this caliber and help achieve a result that sets a new benchmark for our market.”
In 2025, Long Realty handled over $700 million in luxury home sales as buyers in that market seek privacy and distinctive architecture, the company says.
“A sale of this magnitude is an exciting moment not only for Long Realty, but for Tucson,” said Kevin Kaplan, CEO of Long Companies. “It demonstrates the strength and evolution of our luxury market and shows that Tucson can compete at an increasingly sophisticated level for high-end residential real estate.”
Aside from the backyard cave, the property also features a full fitness studio, outdoor kitchen, a walk-in safe and a 16-car garage.
